To travel to Brazil, your passport must be valid for a minimum of 6 months from your return date.

Visa

No tourist visa is required.

The Brazilian tourist visa is valid for 3 months and can be renewed once. Note that French citizens automatically benefit from a tourist visa when traveling to Argentina.

Renting a Car (or a Car with Driver)

A reciprocity agreement between France and Brazil facilitates the exchange of driving licenses.

Any foreigner can drive in Brazil with their home country driving license for a period not exceeding 180 consecutive days. The start date is the one that appears on the stamp from the Federal Police affixed to your passport upon entry into the country.

Brazil Air Pass

The Brazil Air Pass allows you to explore Brazil by flying at a lower cost. Brazil's major airlines offer the Brazil Air Pass. Depending on your routes, you should first compare prices with GOL, a Brazilian airline offering budget flights, to determine whether purchasing Brazil Air Pass coupons or GOL tickets is more advantageous.

By purchasing Brazil Air Pass #1, you choose between 5 and 9 domestic flights, while with BAP #2 and #3 you can select between 1 and 4 destinations from a choice of 15 and 7 Brazilian cities respectively. Conditions for purchasing the Brazil Air Pass: 1) you must be residing outside Brazil, 2) flight dates must be reserved before traveling to Brazil, 3) each boarding incurs an insurance tax charge.
