The hike takes place on flat terrain along the banks of the Rio Espalhado, where we already admire the splendor of the Cachoeira das Orquídeas, located at the beginning of the descent into the Buracão canyon, one of the most impressive sites on our route. We have the opportunity to swim, whether by floating with life jackets or by navigating over the rocks to the waterfall.
After our swim and some memorable photos, we return via the trail to enjoy the view from the top of the waterfall. A break will be planned for a snack before taking the same path back.
Picnic on the trail.
Walk details: (6 km total; 3 km in each direction). Most of the route is flat, with two short descents made easier by ladders and ropes. To reach the waterfall, it is necessary to swim in the canyon or navigate around the rocks on the sides. A life jacket is mandatory.
