The Amazon Ecoboat is a private 21-meter boat navigating the Rio Negro from Manaus, in Brazilian Amazonia. Managed by Amazon Eco Board LTDA since 2015, it was born from the initiative of a Franco-Brazilian couple who wished to offer a small-scale river cruise, limited to four passengers. Decorated by a Parisian designer and built from itauba wood, a local material resistant to the typical Amazonian basin conditions, the boat combines regional craftsmanship with eco-friendly equipment for private stays of 4 to 6 days.

Atmosphere aboard
The boat measures 21 meters long by 4 meters wide. It was designed as a floating home: large bay windows, interior lounge, open kitchen, swimming platform at water level, and a 360° upper deck arranged as an observation lounge and open-air dining room, with hammocks and deck chairs.
The décor blends local handcrafted objects with understated furnishings chosen by the Parisian designer behind the project. Wide openings and minimized noise nuisance (silent engines, no generator at night) maintain direct proximity with surrounding wildlife.
The cabins
The boat has two independent cabins, each air-conditioned and equipped with a private shower and toilet:
- Panoramic front suite: double bed (or two single beds), wash basin corner, large bay windows opening onto the river.
- Modular cabin: configurable with bunk beds and private bathroom, or transformable into common space depending on group needs.

The crew prepares daily meals from fresh local products: fish from the Rio Negro, tropical fruits, Amazonian spices. English-speaking service is provided either on the upper deck facing the forest or in the interior lounge.

The boarding port is located in Manaus, capital of the State of Amazonas and the main gateway to Brazilian Amazonia. The boat then navigates the Rio Negro and its tributaries, gradually moving away from frequented areas. Allow several hours of flight from Rio or São Paulo to reach Manaus, then a transfer to the boarding point.
