Upon your arrival at Rio de Janeiro airport, a local representative will be present to welcome you and transfer you directly to your hotel. Once settled in your room, enjoy your first evening of adventure as you wish!
Rio de Janeiro, with its fascinating blend of beaches and mountains, colonial neighborhoods and modernity, as well as the enchanting rhythms of samba, is recognized as one of the most beautiful cities in the world, featured in the book "A Thousand Places to See Before You Die".
If your flight lands early in the morning, it is possible to organize a visit from the first day. Don't forget to book in advance to make the most of your stay.
Discovery of Rio de Janeiro: Corcovado, Maracanã and historic center
After your first night in Rio de Janeiro, set off on a half-day excursion to discover the city's iconic sites.
After a delicious breakfast, you will be picked up at your hotel to begin a day full of discoveries. Head to the top of Corcovado mountain, where the famous Christ the Redeemer statue stands at 38 meters high. A symbol of faith and the warm hospitality of Cariocas, it dominates Rio and offers an exceptional panoramic view of the city and its legendary beaches.
Next, you will stop in front of the iconic Maracanã stadium (external visit), a place steeped in history that hosted the World Cup finals in 1950 and 2014. You will learn more about its importance in Brazilian football. Then, head to the Sambodrome, an emblematic site where the spectacular Rio Carnival parades take place every year.
Next, you will have the opportunity to explore the historic center of Rio, offering a captivating insight into the history of this Brazilian metropolis. You will pass by the world-famous Selarón Steps, the Carioca Aqueduct in the Lapa neighborhood, as well as the majestic Rio de Janeiro Cathedral.

Sugarloaf Mountain Ascent and Immersion in Santa Teresa
Today, dive into the fascinating world of Rio de Janeiro by discovering the famous Sugarloaf Mountain and the historic Santa Teresa neighborhood.
After a delicious breakfast, your guide will welcome you to begin a day full of emotions in the heart of this Brazilian metropolis. You will use two elevators from the Urca neighborhood to reach the Morro de Pão de Açúcar, an emblematic granite block of Rio, which takes its name from the indigenous people "pau-NH-acuga," meaning high and pointed mountain. This name evolved to become "Pão de Açúcar," or sugarloaf in Portuguese. The 360° panoramic view from the summit, culminating at 395 m above sea level, is breathtaking, offering a panorama of golden beaches, lush tropical forest, and a bustling city.
Then, set off to discover the Santa Teresa neighborhood.. Located in the heart of Rio, this neighborhood attracts an increasing number of visitors thanks to its natural and architectural attractions, viewpoints, cultural centers, studios, galleries, restaurants, bars, and hotels. Not to mention its famous carnival blocks, Santa Teresa offers a leisure alternative full of serenity in the heart of the metropolis.

At Iguazu Falls

Today, board a flight to Foz do Iguaçu and prepare yourself for an unforgettable experience.
Start your day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel. Then, get ready to be amazed by the Iguazu Falls, one of the greatest natural wonders of the world, with over 270 impressive waterfalls. After visiting the visitor center, continue your exploration towards the magnificent falls. Enjoy a one-kilometer walk, where the surrounding beauty will captivate you. This route offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the falls, as well as a close-up perspective of the famous Devil's Gorge waterfall.
Your adventure will end at the top of Iguazu Falls, accessible by stairs or a panoramic elevator. Then, follow the walkway to the Porto Canoas space, offering a stunning view of the Iguazu River.
After this immersion in the power of the falls, head to the Foz do Iguaçu Bird Park, a tropical sanctuary home to over 150 species of exotic birds. Take a walk through giant aviaries, where you can admire macaws, parrots, toucans and many other fascinating species up close. This center is internationally recognized for its commitment to protecting and rehabilitating birds from the Brazilian Atlantic forest.
Adventure option: For an adrenaline rush, board a speedboat for a close-up approach to the waterfalls, an immersive experience in the heart of the roar of the waters (advance booking required).

Exploration Day at Iguazu Falls - Argentine Side
Upon arrival, you will have the opportunity to discover the waterfalls on the Argentine side. This impressive site is home to over 275 cascades that plunge into the depths over a distance of 2.7 km. Accompanied by an English-speaking guide, you will take a small train that will lead you to the most spectacular viewpoint, the « Garganta del Diablo ». At 80 meters high, powerful masses of water fall before you, offering a monumental aquatic spectacle. The roar of the falls, the mist rising in spirals, and the force of nature will leave you with unforgettable memories. Along the walkways, several viewpoints will allow you to admire varied perspectives of this UNESCO World Heritage site.
Optionally, you have the possibility of booking in advance a speedboat excursion to get as close as possible to the falls.

Heading to Manaus: The Gateway to the Amazon
Today, we are heading to the airport to board our flight to Manaus, the famous city located in the heart of the Amazon basin, on the banks of the Negro River. The bustle of an urban community seems almost to belong to another world, surrounded by vast stretches of jungle that extend as far as the eye can see. Once prosperous and fashionable, the capital of the Amazon is experiencing rapid growth as a free trade zone.
Upon your arrival, a transfer will take you directly to your accommodation.
Heading to Manaus: The Gateway to the Amazon
The day will begin at the airport or hotel in Manaus around 08:00, when your English-speaking guide will pick you up for a land and river transfer of approximately 3.5 hours to the Amazon Turtle Lodge. This transfer promises to be an unforgettable adventure: you will have the opportunity to cross the "meeting of the waters", spot pink dolphins and take your first steps into the Amazon, discovering its inhabitants.
You will arrive at Turtle Lodge around noon, where a quiet lunch will be waiting for you.
After the meal, you will set off on a boat excursion that will give you an overview of the region. During this outing, you will have the chance to observe monkeys, sloths, iguanas, freshwater dolphins, spiders and various bird species. Your English-speaking guide, a wildlife specialist, will help you spot animals in the dense forest.
You will be back at the lodge restaurant just in time for dinner.
The excursions follow predefined itineraries, which may be modified depending on the dry season, high river season or weather conditions. The peak river season runs from February to July, while the dry season runs from August to January.
Visits follow established itineraries, which may be adjusted according to circumstances.
What to bring: comfortable shoes and sandals, swimming costume, sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, light and comfortable clothing (prefer long sleeves and avoid dark colors because of insects and heat), waterproof poncho, insect repellent, and cash for additional expenses (credit cards may not be accepted).
Recommendations: don't forget your binoculars, a flashlight and a camera.
Please note that baggage weight is limited to 10 kg per person. Excess baggage must be left at the agency office in Manaus.

Immersion in the Amazon - Amazon Turtle Lodge
Start your day at 05h30 with an early morning excursion dedicated to bird watching at sunrise. It's a fantastic opportunity to admire the awakening of Amazonian wildlife.
After a delicious breakfast, head out for an exciting hike through the jungle, where you can explore the unique biodiversity of the Amazon. Your guide will teach you essential survival techniques in the wild.
After lunch at the lodge, prepare yourself for a new canoe adventure, where you can observe birds and other animals. With a bit of luck, you'll have the opportunity to spot otters, monkeys or a sloth hanging from the branches.
In the evening, enjoy dinner at the lodge, followed by a moment of relaxation to listen to the soothing sounds of the jungle while enjoying the soft moonlight.

Local life, piranha fishing and night adventure
After a hearty breakfast, set out with your guide to discover local homes and the fascinating lifestyle of Amazon inhabitants. Immerse yourself in their culture, customs and traditions. On the way back, visit a cassava and rubber plantation, where locals will explain the harvesting methods for vegetables, fruits, nuts and spices.
After a delicious lunch at the lodge restaurant, head to the river to try your hand at fishing for the famous piranhas. This entertaining activity is accessible even for beginners and will allow you to admire the surrounding landscape.
In the evening, after dinner, set out for an exciting night hike to observe caimans. Each person will try to spot one, while the guides will catch one with their bare hands, giving you the opportunity to capture unforgettable photos. At the end of this adventure, the caiman will be released into its natural habitat, safe and sound.

End of the Amazon Adventure
Departure to Manaus can be done either in the morning or after lunch.
For those with more time available, a last morning excursion can be organized to enjoy one final time the incredible biodiversity of the Amazon.
After this last moment in the heart of the jungle, you will be transferred to your hotel or directly to the airport, marking the end of this immersive Amazon adventure.

Passport
To enter Brazil, your passport must be valid for the entire duration of your stay and have at least one blank page for immigration stamps.
The document must be in good condition (no damaged, torn or altered pages).
Tourist stay without visa
Nationals of the European Economic Area and Switzerland benefit from visa exemption for tourist stays.
This exemption allows a stay of up to 90 days upon entry to the territory, limited to 180 days per 12-month period. No extension is generally granted beyond this duration without an appropriate visa.
Canadian nationals also benefit from visa exemption for tourist stays, under the same duration conditions.
Authorities may request:
an exit ticket from the territory (return or onward flight),
proof of sufficient financial resources for the duration of your stay,
an accommodation address in Brazil.
Health and vaccinations
No vaccine is mandatory to enter Brazil from the EEA, Switzerland or Canada. However, certain vaccinations are strongly recommended:
yellow fever is recommended for travelers going to Amazonian regions or certain at-risk areas; an international vaccination certificate may be required upon entry if you are arriving from at-risk countries,
vaccinations against hepatitis A, hepatitis B and typhoid are also advised depending on your itinerary.
It is recommended to consult a doctor or international vaccination center before your departure.
Traveling with children
Minors must hold their own valid passport covering the duration of the stay.
When a minor travels without one of their parents or without both parents, a notarized parental authorization may be required by Brazilian authorities upon entry or exit from the territory. This requirement also applies to children of Brazilian nationality. It is advisable to inquire with the Brazilian embassy before departure.
